Thoughts on Inauguration Day

Here are my quick thoughts on the events of yesterday:
  • Someone went into a lot of details to put that together.
  • Someone went into a lot of details to KEEP it together.
  • Watching it live on cnn.com and Facebook was really cool.
  • There was a TON of energy in the crowd!
  • Rick Warren got a lot of criticism from some people, but his prayer was awesome.
  • You can read a great commentary and full text of the prayer here.
  • John Roberts should've used notes.
  • Someone on the radio said there were more security personnel on hand at Inauguration than troops in Afghanistan. USA Today said there are 30,000 in Afghanistan. Wow!
  • Obama looked calm
  • Bush looked ragged. I wonder what Obama will look like after the weight of being President takes its toll.
  • Goofy Hat Award: Bush Sr. Second Place - Aretha.
  • Yo-Yo Ma was off the chain!:)
  • Dick Cheney pulled a muscle moving boxes and had to be in a wheelchair. Really? Really??
  • The poem read was horrible!
  • Obama can deliver a speech.
  • His speech at DNC had more energy.
  • I noticed a lot of comments made yesterday that were extreme in BOTH directions.
  • Whether you agree with Obama or not, if you love Jesus you are commanded to PRAY for Him.
  • 1 Timothy 2:1-3
  • We are witnessing a shift in our culture.
  • GOD IS STILL ON HIS THRONE!
  • This is a great time for the church to share the true source of hope: JESUS!
